I'm Katie. I'm a multimedia creator based in Detroit, Michigan, but I might as well live on the internet! I thrive in production and post-production roles on projects that help people learn, make people laugh, or promote social good. Bonus points if you've got all three :)

I currently work full-time as an Associate Producer on Crash Course, an educational YouTube channel created by Hank and John Green with a mission to make education free for everyone, forever. On Crash Course, I support a variety of functions, including set design and fabrication, videography, image research, rights management, video editing, motion graphics, and producing -- check out my highlighted work here!​ I've also worked with the Green brothers to design brand identities for their philanthropic endeavors, including their foundation FTDWS and its annual Project for Awesome campaign.

 

Additionally, I have collaborated with a variety of online creators to design, edit, produce, and consult on educational content covering topics from art education to philosophy (check out my work with Not Sorry Art School!)

When I'm not working on projects like these, you can usually find me hanging out with my rescue pug named Beans, propagating my houseplants, or starting a new DIY project I'll maybe get around to finishing one day.
